New album with Vin Downes

Deep melodies in ambient space from Vin Downes (electric guitar) and yours truly.

Last summer my guitar genius friend Vin wrote this to me:

"So here’s what I’m thinking for August. I want to come up with just my electric guitar. I feel a strong need to try something different and force myself into some new territory. Even if it doesn’t work.

I was thinking of having some things written (I already have some things that will work on electric), and maybe trying to create some things in real time. Maybe address the three electric things I sent you a couple years ago. Should be able to come out with some tunes.

I don’t want to weasel out of this, so I am putting it in writing. I am working with my effects to create some reverbs I like that we can try to get in the studio.

Does this sound ok? Crazy?"

And then when he got here he suggested that I play some stuff, so I picked up the bass, and then we inexplicably fired up some drum machines, and then it seemed that I should write some songs that would fit the album... and so it went. And here we are.
